Join Reno Figure Skating Academy today! 

The Reno Figure Skating Academy (RFSA) is a bridge program for skaters who have achieved Basic 5 or higher and are ready to learn how to train to become a figure skater in the United States Figure Skating program.

  • Membership: $450/ month

  • Approval required: Skaters must be pre-approved by our Figure Skating Director, Joanie Malarchuk. Get in touch with her at joanie@renoice.com.

Unmatched Value

With seven training sessions each week led by Olympic and Master PSA-Rated coaches, the regular value is over $900 per month. RFSA members pay just $450 a month–saving 50% or more. Plus, enjoy free freestyle sessions whenever the Academy pauses for camps and other conflicting events. 

This Membership includes:

  • 3 on-ice sessions per week

  • 1 on-ice power class per week

  • 3 off-ice classes per week

  • 3 hours of instruction a week on ice + 3 off-ice classes a week

Membership Details

  • Year-round program (6-month commitment recommended)

  • Memberships pro-rated if starting mid-month

  • Skaters may choose to only attend two days/week at a drop-in rate of $50/day

On-Ice Training

  • Edge control, speed, and power

Off-Ice Training

  • Proper warm-up and stretching techniques

RFSA Schedule

Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • 3:30-4:15 PM: On-ice Freestyle session (independent practice)

  • 4:15-4:45 PM: On-ice class with only Academy skaters (grouped by level)

  • 5:00 PM-5:30 PM: Off-ice class (Tuesday: body conditioning, Thursday: Ice jumps off the ice)

Saturdays

  • 7:00 AM-7:45 AM: On-ice Freestyle session (independent practice)

  • 7:45 AM-8:15 AM: On-ice 30 minutes of Power & Edge class

  • 8:15 AM-8:45 AM: On-ice class with only Academy skaters (grouped by level)

  • 8:45 AM-9:45 AM: Off-ice, 60 min of ballet (upstairs from the bleachers)
