Sled Hockey at Reno Ice
Sled hockey was developed in Sweden in the 1960s to make hockey accessible for players with physical disabilities. The game uses modified equipment and follows most traditional hockey rules. At Reno Ice, we’re proud to host the only sled hockey program in northern Nevada!
The Reno Ice Sled Hockey Club is the largest City of Reno adaptive program. Now in its 4th season, the team practices Fridays at 4:30 p.m. with Coach Adrian and Coach EJ.
New participants are always welcome–no experience necessary.
Participants with physical disabilities are welcome to learn about sled hockey and get on the ice.
Wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.
All equipment and instruction are provided.
Open to participants with physical disabilities.
